Ten pep rallies on one day

Imagine a whole football season worth of pep rallies packed into on afternoon. Got it? Good. That’s field day.

The school held a field day Friday and everyone from JK-12th grade participated. At a pep rally, only a few students and teachers are chosen to come down onto the basketball court in front of the student body to compete in the random (and sometimes embarrassing) activities. At field day, everyone gets to participate. At the same time!

Rotating throw the stations, we did a water balloon toss, three-leg race, sack race, dizzy soccer ball kick, human pyramid, fishing. You name it, we did it. All at the same time!

At one point, the activity required students to recruit a teacher (or parent for more points) to stick their face into a plate of flour to find a piece of candy. Yep, I did it.

Someone tracked the score, winners were announced, and then we celebrated the end of healthy living week by eating ice cream.
