I think I’ve seen Rio one too many times because I see this word and automatically summon my inner Brazilian to pronounce car-ni-VAL.
What an event! Face painting, authentic Mexican food, balloons, live music, and a bouncy house! What’s not to like about Carnival?
And all the proceeds benefit a great service trip. Amazing!
It was especially good for us since we always miss fall festival season in west Texas. Carnival provided a worthy China alternative. Booths of fun for all ages. Food and drinks. Bake sale where our chocolate chip cookies sold for an amazing 5 RMB each! (We really should start a business!). All that was missing was the 10,000 pounds of German sausage.
