It's a girl!

Our friends are parents! Two of our close Chinese friends welcomed baby girls to their families this past month. Both mothers and babies are healthy and are now at home surrounded by family.

Traditionally for the first 30 days after giving birth, mothers are required to remain in bed while the grandmothers (both grandmothers) take care of the newborns. Cherry, one of the new mothers, jokes about this tradition by saying, "Please visit me while I'm stuck in prison. I'll be released in 10 days."

That's all M'Lynn needs to hear before she's out the door and across the street to visit.
