Cherry, our friend of 3 years, is expecting a baby.
To celebrate, M'Lynn and the other girls hosted a "Western" baby shower her. Cherry enjoyed the time being showered with diapers and other goodies. Having a baby in China is quite different from the states and brings new concerns for the mother. Will I be a good mother? Can I afford the costs for good service? How will I deliver? Of the 30 mothers in Cherry's work unit, all have delivered by c-section. C-sections are the norm in China and natural births are quite rare. Cherry would like to have a natural birth. Please remember Cherry and her concerns about the delivery and beginning a new family. The baby is due March 27.
