Kanyon: Fun facts

The preschool he attends plays music on loud speakers each morning as children are arriving. The music must have a purpose and according to Kanyon, the music works, “That music makes me excited.”

Each night we read from “The Jesus Storybook Bible.” It’s a great book and Kanyon knows all of the stories remembering exactly which story we left for tomorrow.

His favorite book of the moment is “Click, Clack, Moo, Cows That Type.” It’s the story of demanding cows on Farmer Brown’s farm. The cows found an old typewriter and leave notes for the Farmer. He walks around the house quoting the book, “There will be no electric blankets.”

He is so much in love with playing Nintendo Wii that we’ve had to limit his time. He gets four sticks each day to spend on playing Wii. One stick equals 15 minutes. But watch out, bad behavior costs one stick.

One thing did get Kanyon to stop playing Wii. He received a dress up hat from his Grandma. Immediately, he stopped Wii and went to go find his Bob the Builder shirt so he could play dress up and put all his tools in his belt.

He loves to add “ness” to the end of words. Creaminess: While explaining a picture of a kid who dropped his ice cream, Kanyon said he’s sad because “he dropped his creaminess.” Funness: “All the funness at school today made me tired.” Buzzness: He didn’t have on all of his Buzz Lightyear costume and complained that he didn’t have his “Buzzness.”
