Halloween, Part II

Halloween was a cultural invasion, American and Chinese.

First the Chinese students version of a Halloween English corner. Students wore masks or anything scary they could find at the market. Only a few dressed up, and the ones that did scared Corbin.

Now for what Kanyon called the "real Halloween" as opposed to the "fake Halloween" at the English corner. It was much more American with the most kids ever roaming the halls knocking on doors and receiving treats. M&Ms, Snickers, Skittles, and other treats.

Then we crossed the street (and crossed cultural worlds) into a Chinese Halloween "stop by for treat" at a friends house. It was the most food and treats in one place I've seen in a while. There were Dove chocolates, Starbucks instant coffee, KFC buckets of fried chicken, sandwich makings, and straws as party favors. We packed in the people and stayed for a while.

This completes Halloween 2011.
